Global startup accelerator Techstars wanted to successfully launch its first Australian cohort in Adelaide, Australia. A communications strategy was required to attract applications for the accelerator and raise the profile of Adelaide as an important startup hub.
A proactive program that leveraged the accelerator as the region’s first Techstars, and spoke to Adelaide’s role as a regional defence hub. The 9-month program took advantage of multiple media news points, as well as developing thought leadership from Techstars spokespeople.
The program secured 160 pieces of coverage across eight countries, across tech, business, startup, defence and security media. The message around Adelaide as a great place to launch a tech startup, and the connection to the defence industry achieved great cut-through in the media hits.
